Notes
ARTICHOKE (
Cynara scolymus)
is a stimulant of liver and biliary functions thanks to its contained principles (
o-diphenols and flavonoids).
The increase in the metabolic activity of the hepatobiliary enzymatic chains causes a reduction in cholesterolemia and in nitrogen and lipid levels. Flavonoids and terpene alcohols protect the membrane of the liver parenchyma.
It has digestive, purifying action, useful in hepatobiliary dysfunctions (
with or without lithiasis), in
hypercholesterolemia and hyperuricemia related to liver diseases of various entities, in hyperlipidemia and in atheromatous risk. In
DANDELION (
Taraxacum officinale) the triterpenes (
taraxasterols), in synergy with the sesquiterpenic lactones,
act as cholecystokinetics by activating the muscles of the gallbladder by modifying the chemical-physical characteristics of the bile. Flavonoids and eudesmanolides
interact by increasing diuresis. It has a protective action against free radicals.
Useful as a draining and purifying hepatorenal, in disorders of the gallbladder and in biliary lithiasis, in dermatoses associated with dysmetabolism. The top of
Mint (
Mentha piperita) contains essential oil consisting of an innumerable amount of terpenes among which the main one is
menthol present in free form and combined as acetate, isovalerianate, ester or in furan form.
Tali principi attivi hanno un’attività carminativa ed eupeptica per azione riflessa sulle terminazioni nervose della parete gastrica ed antifermentativa, a livello intestinale, grazie alle loro proprietà antisettiche.
Tonic-eupeptic properties are therefore attributed to this plant, slightly analgesic and carminative, useful in nervous diseases of the stomach especially with atony, in colic with meteorism and in dyspepsia. The diterpene and depsidic fractions contained in
ROSEMARY (
Rosmarinus officinalis), together with rosmarinic acid, perform numerous activities:
cholecystokinetics, at the gastrointestinal level there is the stimulation of digestive functions and the regularization of the activity of bacterial flora.
Useful in dyspepsias with flatulence especially if associated with hepatobiliary stasis, digestive headaches.
Horehound (
Marrubium vulgare) contains
marrubin (0.3 – 1%), gallic acid, mucilage, pectins, flavonoids, alkaloids, betonicin, mineral salts and ethereal oil that
give the plant special tonic, digestive, antiseptic, antispasmodic and expectorant properties.
This plant improves the functioning of the stomach.
From the plants described above it is possible to obtain
TSA (
Spagyric-Alchemic Tinctures)
with extraction ratio 1 to 10 (
R.E. 1/10) if you follow the indications given by
Solanimus in his book “
ALCHEMY and SPAGYRIA: admirabiles et inseparabiles Artes!”, where some practical notions of Spagyria or Spagyrya and Alchemy are described very well.
COMPLEMENTARY REMEDIES: PROLIVER, EPASOL, EPARENOL, EPATOSOL, HS 204 CYNARA COMP.
