The CASSIA (Cassia angustifolia) is a typically refreshing and laxative plantbeing rich in glucose and especially fructose (anthraquinone glucosides-senosides-mucilage, flavonoids). It is especially recommended for children, the elderly and pregnant women. The plant, possessing an elective tropism towards the large intestine, causes an activation of peristalsis accelerating the advancement of the intestinal contents with a consequent laxative and purgative effect. Its principles would be, for the most part, absorbed at the level of the small intestine, subsequently, by blood and / or lymphatic, would stimulate peristalsis of the large intestine. The RHUBARB (Rheum officinale) It has cholagogue, laxative properties and in small tonic and stomachic doses. Due to its ability to evacuate bile it is also used in liver diseases. This plant, of which the rhizome is used, rich in oxalic acid, is contraindicated, for its purgative action, in pregnancy and in those who suffer from hemorrhoids. Of CINNAMON (Cinnamomum zeylanicum) the rind of younger trees is used containing substances that help digestion, useful for flu, anemia and weakness. In the CLOVES (Eugenia caryophyllata) there is an essence containing a phenolic terpene called eugenol (and other substances), which causes a marked analgesic and hypo-anesthetic action (G. Recently , the antiseptic efficacy of its volatile components has also been confirmed, demonstrating a marked bacteriostatic action against cultures of Staph. Aureus, E. coli, Candida albicans, etc. (BENIGNI-GOAT,Medicinal plants ..). The PROPOLIS has anti-infectious, antiseptic properties, antibiotic-like, flu-flu.
