The fruits of STAR ANISE (Illicium verum) contain essential oil (consisting of anethole and other terpenes), furanocoumarins, flavonoids, fatty acids and sterols, have carminative and digestive properties, are part of the “Hot Seeds”. Able to reduce flatulence, gastric dilatation, facilitate digestion and at the same time effectively counteract spasms. One of its primary indications is the use in aerophagia and difficult digestions. Mitigates intestinal spasms and has a disinfectant action on the digestive tract. The seeds of CUMIN (Cuminum cyminum) contain essential oil with a high content of carvone (from 40 to 60%) and fixed oil. The action of cumin is comparable to that of green anise (Pimpinella anisum) and fennel (Foeniculum vulgare). Antispasmodics, the seeds treat the digestive system and act directly on the intestinal muscles to soothe colic, decrease gastric dilation and flatulence. They regulate the heart rhythm disturbed by digestive disorders.
