Product included in the register of supplements of the Italian Ministry of Health, code 10347.
INTAKE OF INGREDIENTS FOR ONE TABLET: N-acetylcysteine 600 mg. Bulking agent: microcrystalline cellulose. Anti-caking agents: silicon dioxide, magnesium salts of fatty acids.
GLUTEN FREE
NACSOL is a supplement based on N-acetylcysteine.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE: 1 tablet to be swallowed with water once a day, or as advised by the doctor.
NOTES: N-acetylcysteine is an N-acetylated derivative of the “sulfur” amino acid cysteine. The acetylated form of the more common cysteine has significant advantages in terms of bioavailability compared to the non-acetylated form. NAC is absorbed more rapidly after its oral administration, recording a maximum blood peak 2-3 hours after ingestion, with a half-life around 6 hours; contrary to what happens for the non-acetylated form.
WARNINGS Keep out of the reach of children under three years of age. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. The product should be used as part of a varied and balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle.
Available in the best pharmacies, parapharmacies, herbalists.

Notes:
MUCOLYTIC: the activity of N-acetylcysteine on the mucous component of secretions is consequent to the presence in the molecule of a free thiol group (-S-H), capable of reducing and splitting the disulphide bonds (-S-S-) responsible for protein aggregation muco-constituents and therefore of the high viscosity of the mucus (fluidifying action). The activity on the purulent component of the secretions is instead due to its ability to depolymerize the nucleic acids, substantially influencing the evolution and resolution of bronchopneumopathies. HEMORRHAGIC CYSTITIS: recent experimental results have confirmed the efficacy of NAC in the disintegration and reduction of the number of vital forms of bacteria present in the biofilms, respectively Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli. ANTIOXIDANT, HEPATOPROTECTIVE, NEPROPROTECTIVE: NAC is a precursor of Glutathione as it is used by the body to obtain Cysteine. The integration of NAC is useful to the body for the synthesis of Glutathione. Studies carried out at the Department of Biochemistry, Istanbul Medical Faculty, Istanbul University , indicate that NAC supplementation may be effective in reducing levels of Hcy (homocysteine), hepatic-induced Hcy, and renal oxidative stress. Like other antioxidants, it has also proved effective in counteracting the action of ROS (free radicals with greater diffusion derived from oxygen) following intense physical activity, preserving cellular structures and enhancing the organic pull of endogenous antioxidants. LACRYMA DEFICIT: Clinical studies demonstrate its effectiveness in lacrimal deficiency thanks to its fluidifying and expectorant capacity. BIPOLAR DISORDER AND DEPRESSIVE SYMPTOMS: studies at the Department of Clinical Diagnostic Medicine and Public Health, University of Modena and Reggio Emilia have shown an improvement in some psychiatric conditions by administering NAC, thanks to its role as a precursor of glutathione as an antioxidant. DETOXIFYING: the use of acetylcysteine in case of paracetamol poisoning is due to its ability to regenerate glutathione stocks in the liver. Paracetamol is metabolized in the liver to N-acetylbenzoquinonimine which is readily conjugated with glutathione forming a non-toxic compound. TREATMENT OF BALDNESS: Nac is a powerful antioxidant, scientifically valid for the daily supplement of all those who want to reduce the oxidative stress associated with aging, therefore also useful in the treatment of stress-induced baldness. IMPROVES ATHLETIC PERFORMANCE: NAC reduces the feeling of fatigue and facilitates physical recovery thanks to its role as a precursor of glutathione as an antioxidant.
